Support initiatives for the local community

First and foremost, we are dedicated to promoting local employment. We believe in providing meaningful employment opportunities for the people of Tarifa and the surrounding area. We value the rich culture and talent that our community has to offer, and we strive to hire and train local members of our community, which contributes to strengthening the social and economic fabric of the area.

In addition, we select local produce and food. We believe in the quality and authenticity of local produce, and strive to highlight and disseminate the unique flavours of our region through our gastronomic offerings. By working closely with local farmers and suppliers, we not only support the local economy, but also promote sustainability and respect for the environment.

Last but not least, we support local artists by providing a space for their talent in our El Patio Restaurant. We value creativity and artistic expression, and are pleased to offer a space where local artists can showcase their talent and enrich our guests’ experience. We believe that by supporting and promoting local culture, we contribute to Tarifa’s vibrant and diverse cultural landscape, benefiting the whole community.

In-house training

At La Residencia Puerto Hotel & Spa, sustainability is intrinsic to our company philosophy. That is why we are committed to training our employees in sustainable practices that promote a more environmentally friendly environment. Through training and awareness courses, we provide our team with the tools and knowledge to integrate sustainable practices into all areas of our operation.

From efficient resource management to promoting recycling and waste reduction, we empower our employees to adopt responsible habits that contribute to the preservation of the natural environment around us. Energy saving

The Residencia Puerto Hotel & Spa is committed to saving energy without compromising the experience of our users. 

  1. Improvements in energy efficiency: Updating of lighting and air conditioning systems, optimisation of operating processes.
  2. Use of renewable energies: Installation of solar panels that provide between 40 and 50% of the energy, availability of water sources for responsible supply.
  3. Management of energy demand: Implementation of monitoring and control systems to adjust energy consumption according to real needs.
  4. Modernisation of infrastructures: Constant evaluation and updating of facilities to incorporate more efficient and sustainable technologies.
  5. Promotion of sustainable practices: Choice of amenities from sustainable brands, raising awareness of the importance of saving water and energy.
